People are now spending more time playing Pokemon Go than they are on Snapchat, Instagram and WhatsApp.

According to data from SimilarWeb, the game has also been installed on more Android smartphones in the US than the mobile application development “Tinder”.

So it’s no surprise that there have been literally dozens of stories about Pokemon Go since it was released last week.

There are too many to write up, so we’ve compiled the best ones.

A man played Pokemon Go in a hospital delivery room

Jonathan Theriot and his wife were expecting a baby.

He accompanied her to hospital but while she was waiting to have a C-section – instead of holding his partner’s hand and offering some comfort – he spotted a Pidgey.

Not being able to resist making a great catch, he screen grabbed his attempt while his wife rested on a bed in the background.

The photo quickly went viral on Imgur and has had nearly three million views since.

Apparently Jonathan’s wife Jessica wasn’t too bothered and the couple had their third daughter, Ireland, hours later.

Pokemon Go traps a cheating Brooklyn boyfriend

When New Yorker Evan Scribner went to his ex-girlfriend’s house and caught a Pokemon, he obviously didn’t think he’d be rumbled for his cheating.

Using the game’s geolocation data, his ACTUAL girlfriend noticed that he’d been playing the game at his former flame’s place.

“She saw that I had caught a Pokemon while at my ex’s house,” Evan said.

“She found out last night at my house and hasn’t contacted me since then.” Ouch.

Pokemon Go helped catch an attempted murder suspect

Marines Seth Ortega and Javier Soch were playing the game in Fullerton, a district of Los Angeles, when they noticed a man acting strangely.

They told police that he’d approached a woman with two children, who were also playing Pokemon Go, and he’d started touching the boy’s foot and leg.

The man was arrested for child annoyance.

Officers then discovered that he had an outstanding warrant for attempted murder in Sonoma, California.

A Pokemon Go player carried on after being stabbed

Michael Baker was playing the game in the US state of Oregon at about one in the morning.

He said he noticed another person and thought he was also out trying to catch a monster.

It turns out he wasn’t and the man stabbed him in the shoulder before running off.

But instead of getting medical help, the 21-year-old carried on playing.

“Right after I was stabbed, I continued my mission to Plaid Pantry for my mission for chips and beer. I basically risked my life,” he said.

Police in Oregon say the case is being investigated.

There are Pokemon Go trainers advertising across the US

If you don’t have the time, or can’t be bothered, to play the game – why not hire a trainer to do it for you.

New York University graduate Ivy St I’ve placed an advert on Craigslist offering her services for $20 an hour – which has since been deleted.

She offered to walk around the city for four hours at a time catching creatures and giving hourly updates.

Ivy knows her stuff – she has a tattoo of Golbat – a Pokemon bat – has been playing the game since 1997 and is a Level 15 trainer.

A man in Baltimore is also offering to drive people around for $25 (£18.89) an hour so they can catch Pokemon while another entrepreneur is offering rides around Portland, Oregon, for $30 (£22.66) per person for two hours.
